New England Green was formed in 1992 by a bunch of like-minded guys who, according to founder Paul Lawrence, met every few weeks to decide whether they could come up with any good ideas, and thought they better form a company just in case. Well after nearly 10 years, and quite a few good ideas, New England Green survives as a technology consultancy.

Over this time the company has moved away from software design into computer systems management and more recently Internet development. Approaching the web from a firm technical viewpoint has given New England Green a slightly different approach to some of the more design based web agencies. We believe understanding the underlying technology of the web, what’s possible and what’s not, is essential for good design to work.

Liquid

Marketing Consultancy Liquid Communications came to New England Green early in 2000 with a need for a new office network. New England Green undertook project management of all aspects of the technical office installation, working with various affiliate partners. Since this time New England Green has witnessed Liquid expand at an enormous rate culminating in a further office relocation in early 2001. With a Windows 2000 network and a high speed Internet connection. New England Green was confident that their originally specified network would comfortably cope with Liquid’s rapid expansion.

R-Design

Graphic Designer’s R-Design have relied on New England Green for their technical consultancy and support for around 4 years now. The design studio is based around the Macintosh environment, an operating system all New England Green consultants are as versed with as PCs. R-Design are an expanding company and when they relocated in 2000 to larger premises, New England Green acted as technical project managers, advising on all technical aspects of the new office environment.

Pumpkin

Pumpkin, a small but busy PR Company first contacted New England Green to help with their office relocation. Since then New England Green has advised on all aspects of their IT network.

Robinson Valentine

Fashion House Robinson Valentine is one of New England Green's newest clients. New England Green were initially brought on board to assist with RV’s office relocation, but since then have advised on all aspects of their IT network.

Websites

Tiger Aspect Productions

Leading Independent TV Production Company Tiger Aspect Productions commissioned New England Green to design and build their first website in 1999. The original build spanned around 5 months with additional design being provided by R-Design. With continued maintenance and support from New England Green the site has expanded to cover all of Tiger’s illustrious programming achievements, complete with virtual trophy cabinet, latest In Production details, streaming video and Flash movies.

Boom

With a domain name as striking as boom.co.uk New England Green were keen to create an explosion with this site redesign commissioned by Advertising and Marketing Specialists Boom Communications in the summer of 2000. Using a mix of HTML templates, JavaScript and Flash programming New England Green were able to design an intuitive, simple yet striking website to reach Boom’s very specific brief.

PBJ

PBJ Management’s website has just undergone its first redesign (August, 2001), since going live originally in 1998. Representing some of the biggest stars of stage and screen PBJ’s website has proved invaluable in the redirection of numerous requests. The new attractive Flash design follows on from the original popular ‘star’ concept, providing enhanced interaction, animation and audio, as well as allowing the download of client biographies in .pdf format and hi res pictures (jpegs).

Golborne House

Stylish Notting Hill Bar/restaurant Golborne House approached New England Green early in 2001 requesting a suitably reflective web presence. The result is a glossy all Flash feast, which together with a virtual tour, competition and online menus, gives the browser a thorough feel for the vibe that is Golborne House.

Reading and West

Reading and West architects design stylish contemporary interiors. They wanted a site to reflect the minimalism of their work, yet with a structured feel. In conjunction with graphic designers R-Design, New England Green developed and built an attractive, clever Flash site for Reading and West. The real novelty comes with the central sliding navigation feature, which is as much the “design” of the site, as it is the functionality.
